Citroën Jumpy
The Citroën Jumpy is Citroën's medium-sized van and has been built at Sevel Nord (Hordain, France) since 1995. The model shares its engineering and body with the Peugeot Expert, Opel Vivaro, Fiat Scudo and Toyota Proace. Since the third generation (2016) the Jumpy has been based on the EMP2 platform, with one roof height below 1.95 m and three lengths (XS, M and XL). From 2020, alongside the BlueHDi diesels, there has also been a fully electric ë-Jumpy with a 50 or 75 kWh battery. In the Netherlands the Jumpy is mainly used by installers, construction and service companies and as a base for van racking and double cab versions.
Jumpy II (G9) (2007-2016)
Second generation, larger and wider than the first, shared with the Peugeot Expert and Fiat Scudo. Available in two lengths and two roof heights, with almost exclusively HDi diesels in the Netherlands. Facelift in 2012; from 2013 the same vehicle also came onto the market as the Toyota Proace.

Jumpy III / ë-Jumpy (K0) (2016-present)
Third generation on the EMP2 platform, with one roof height (below 1.95 m) and three lengths: XS, M and XL. With the Euro 6.2 update around 2019/2020 the diesels were replaced by the 1.5 and 2.0 BlueHDi with new power designations; from 2020 the fully electric ë-Jumpy arrived with a 50 or 75 kWh battery. At the end of 2023 a facelift followed with a new front end, larger touchscreen and revised driver assistance.

What the Jumpy is known for

What to look out for on a used example
- The 1.5 and 1.6 BlueHDi have a timing belt that runs in oil; check that the prescribed replacement (usually around 175,000-180,000 km or 10 years) has been carried out and recorded.
- With high urban mileage and many short trips, the particulate filter (DPF) can become clogged; look out for fault messages, oil dilution and the AdBlue system on Euro 6 engines.
- Check the sliding door rails, rollers and door seals for wear, and the load floor and side walls for racking holes and corrosion.
- On the ë-Jumpy, ask for a battery certificate or State of Health, and about the charging capacity (7.4 or 11 kW AC) and whether rapid charging preparation is present.
