Dimensions Renault Kangoo

The Renault Kangoo van is designated by a length code: L1 is the standard version and L2 the extended version, which was called Maxi on the Kangoo Express II (2008-2021). There is no high-roof variant; all versions have the same width and virtually the same height, so only the wheelbase, overall length, load length and load volume differ per length. The Kangoo III / E-Tech (from 2021) is wider and longer than its predecessor and has a longer load floor even in L1. Stated load dimensions apply to the load floor behind the bulkhead; with a folding passenger seat or an Easy Inside Rack a longer load length is available.

Frequently asked questions about the dimensions

What do L1, L2, H1 and H2 mean?

L stands for the length (wheelbase and overhang), H for the roof height. The higher the number, the longer or higher the van. From H2 upwards you can stand upright in the load area on most models.

How many Euro pallets fit inside?

A Euro pallet measures 120 × 80 cm. What counts is the width between the wheel arches (at least 120 cm for two pallets side by side lengthways) and the load length. The "Euro pallets" column gives the number that fits flat on the floor.

Can I drive this van on a category B licence?

Yes, as long as the gross vehicle weight does not exceed 3,500 kg. Versions up to 3,500 kg are listed in the "Max. weight" column; heavier versions (5,000 kg, for example) require a C1 licence.

Are these dimensions correct for every vehicle?

These are manufacturer figures per version. Bodies (box body, refrigerated body, tail lift), roof racks and changes from year to year can differ. During a viewing in Mijdrecht we will measure the dimension that matters to you on the spot.
