Nissan Interstar or Renault Master?

These two are technically the same van: they come off the same production line and share body, dimensions and engines. Below you can see this for each version, and read where they do differ.

Good to know: the Nissan Interstar and the Renault Master are built on the same production line. Body, dimensions, load area and engines are identical; the difference lies in the badge, the names of the trim levels, the dealer network and the used price. If you choose purely on load space, you can therefore look at both.

The dimensions by equivalent version

Each version is paired with the version of the other model that comes closest in load volume. That way you compare a medium-sized one with a medium-sized one, not with an extra-long one.

Where they differ

Technically, the Nissan Interstar and the Renault Master hardly differ. Where you do notice a difference in practice:

  • The names of the trim levels and which options are standard differ by brand.
  • The dealer and service network in your region can make a difference: check where you can go for maintenance and warranty.
  • Used prices vary. The same van can be cheaper under one badge than under the other.
  • Supply differs: in the Netherlands there are more of one brand on the market than of the other.

Which one suits whom?

Because the Nissan Interstar and the Renault Master are technically identical, in practice you choose on price, on what is for sale at the time and on the dealer network near you. So look at the individual vehicle: maintenance history, mileage and version carry more weight than the badge.

Not sure? Tell us what you carry and how often, and we will work out which version fits. Both models are at our site in Mijdrecht, so you can view and measure them side by side.
