Dimensions Volkswagen Amarok
The Amarok does not use L/H codes like a van, but cab shapes: single cab (Single Cab, 2 seats, long load bed) and double cab (Double Cab, 5 seats, short load bed). Exterior length and wheelbase are the same for both cabs within a generation; the choice therefore only determines the ratio between cab space and load bed length. In the Netherlands the first generation was also supplied as a Plus Cab (shortened double cab) and as a double cab with an extended wheelbase, offering slightly more and considerably more load bed length respectively. The second generation (from 2022) is 96 mm longer, has a 173 mm longer wheelbase and a longer, higher load bed than the first generation.

What is the difference between a single, extra and double cab?
The single cab has two seats and the longest load bed; the extra (super/king) cab has a small rear bench with short doors; the double cab offers four full doors and five seats, with the shortest load bed.
How much can I tow and load?
Payload and towing capacity differ by engine and trim level. The vehicle registration document is decisive; we state the figures on every vehicle page.
Are these dimensions correct for every vehicle?
These are manufacturer figures per version. Bodies (box body, refrigerated body, tail lift), roof racks and changes from year to year can differ. During a viewing in Mijdrecht we will measure the dimension that matters to you on the spot.
