Dimensions Toyota Hilux
On the Hilux (eighth generation, AN120/AN130, since 2016) the cab shape determines the load bed length: the Single Cab (2 seats) has the longest bed, the Xtra Cab (2+2) a medium-length one and the Double Cab (5 seats) the shortest. The wheelbase is the same on every version (3,085 mm), so what you gain in cab you lose in load bed. The load bed width between the wheel arches is 1,100 mm; a Euro pallet therefore does not fit between the arches, but it does fit flat on the floor (bed width approximately 1,540 mm at floor level, 1,645 mm at the top). In practice the choice comes down to load length versus number of seats; since 2025 there is also a fully electric Double Cab with a lower payload.

What is the difference between a single, extra and double cab?
The single cab has two seats and the longest load bed; the extra (super/king) cab has a small rear bench with short doors; the double cab offers four full doors and five seats, with the shortest load bed.
