Peugeot Partner
The Peugeot Partner is a compact van from Peugeot that is technically identical to the Citroën Berlingo; the current generation also shares its base with the Opel Combo and Toyota Proace City. The Partner II (2008-2018) was supplied almost exclusively with 1.6 HDi and later 1.6 BlueHDi diesel engines, and had an electric version from 2013 to 2017. The Partner III (2018-present) is based on the EMP2 platform, has the Peugeot i-Cockpit with a small steering wheel and has also been available as the electric e-Partner since 2021. Both generations come in a short (L1) and long (L2) version.
Partner II (2008-2018)
Facelift in 2012 (new front end, e-HDi with start-stop and ETG6/2Tronic automatic) and in 2015 (new front end, Euro 6 BlueHDi engines, ESP as standard). From 2013 to 2017 available as the Partner Electric with a 49 kW motor and 22.5 kWh battery (NEDC range approximately 170 km, no WLTP figure).

The dimensions at a glance
Of the Peugeot Partner there are 4 versions, load length 180 cm to 217 cm, load volume 3,3 m³ to 3,8 m³. The full dimensions table by version, with wheelbase, exterior dimensions, width between the wheel arches and Euro pallets, is on the dimensions page.
What the Partner is known for
- Technically identical to the Citroën Berlingo (and on the Partner III also the Opel Combo and Toyota Proace City), so parts are widely available
- Load area with approximately 1,230 mm between the wheel arches, suitable for a Euro pallet
- Folding passenger seat with hatch in the bulkhead (Multi-Flex) for longer loads
- Partner III: payload up to approximately 1,000 kg and an optional blind spot view (Surround Rear Vision)
- Grip version with increased ground clearance and Advanced Grip Control for building sites and unpaved roads
What to look out for on a used example
- On the 1.6 HDi (Partner II), check the maintenance record and the operation of the turbo and particulate filter; if in doubt, have the injectors inspected.
- On the 1.5 BlueHDi and 1.2 PureTech (Partner III), check whether the timing belt has been replaced as prescribed; on the 1.2 PureTech the condition of the wet belt and oil consumption are a known point of attention.
- On BlueHDi diesels, check the AdBlue system and any fault messages.
- On an e-Partner, ask about the battery health (SoH) and check whether the battery warranty (8 years/160,000 km) is still running.
These points apply to the model in general. What applies to a specific vehicle depends on its maintenance history; we discuss this for every vehicle we sell.
