Maxus eDeliver 9
The Maxus eDeliver 9 is a fully electric large van from SAIC Motor, which came onto the Dutch market in 2021. It is supplied as a closed panel van in L2H2, L3H2 and L3H3, as a 7-seat double cab, as a 9-seat People version and as a chassis cab in L3 and L4. All versions have the same 150 kW (204 hp) electric motor with front-wheel drive; the battery options differ by model year and, together with the body, determine the range and the payload. In the Netherlands there is one trim level, with equipment including adaptive cruise control, automatic air conditioning, LED headlights and an extensive package of driver assistance systems as standard. Since the 2025 update there have been 77 and 88 kWh batteries, a torque of 330 Nm and DC charging up to 90 kW.
eDeliver 9 (2021-present)
Introduced in 2021 with batteries of 52, 72 and 89 kWh (the manufacturer also quotes the largest as 88 kWh), 310 Nm and DC charging up to 80 kW; from 2022 also as a chassis cab with 65 kWh. With the 2025 update came batteries of 77 and 88 kWh, torque rose to 330 Nm, DC charging (with 88 kWh) went to 90 kW and the infotainment screen became 12.3 inches with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

What the eDeliver 9 is known for
- One well-equipped version without an options list: adaptive cruise control, automatic air conditioning, seat heating, keyless entry, parking sensors all round and a reversing camera are standard
- Braked trailer weight of 1,500 kg on the closed versions, 1,200 kg on the chassis cab
- Load space up to 12.3-12.5 m³ (L3H3) and up to 1,350 kg payload, with an L3H3 version of 4,050 kg (N2)
- Many body variants on one platform: closed panel van, double cab, People minibus and chassis cab
- Factory warranty of 5 years/100,000 km and 8 years/160,000 km on the high-voltage battery
What to look out for on a used example
- Check which battery pack is fitted (52, 72, 77, 88/89 or 65 kWh): it determines the range, the maximum DC charging speed and the payload, and the 52 kWh versions from 2021-2024 have a shorter range (WLTP 186 km).
- Request a battery status report (State of Health) and check whether the battery warranty (8 years/160,000 km, minimum 75% capacity) is still running and transferable.
- Check whether the registration is N1 or N2: the 4,050 kg L3H3 falls under N2 and requires a different driving licence and inspection regime than the 3,500 kg versions.
- Check the maintenance history at a Maxus dealer and whether software updates have been carried out; the dealer network is smaller than for the big brands, so find out where service and parts are available.
These points apply to the model in general. What applies to a specific vehicle depends on its maintenance history; we discuss this for every vehicle we sell.
