Compact van

Maxus eDeliver 3

The Maxus eDeliver 3 is a fully electric compact van that has been supplied in the Netherlands since 2020. The model was developed for urban distribution and delivery services: short trips, a lot of stop-start traffic and returning daily to a fixed base to charge. The range consists of two lengths (L1 and L2) in a single roof height, plus a chassis cab on the long wheelbase for conversions. Users are mainly parcel carriers, service companies, municipalities and installers who need to be able to drive in low-emission zones. Because the model came onto the market as a van without a diesel variant, the used supply consists exclusively of electric examples.

eDeliver 3 (first generation, electric) (2020-present)

The eDeliver 3 came onto the Dutch market in 2020 with a choice of a 35 kWh and an approximately 50 kWh battery pack, in both cases with a 90 kW electric motor. The smallest battery pack gradually disappeared from the range, after which only the large pack remained. In later model years the Dutch importer lists a more powerful 118 kW drivetrain, with a stated urban range of up to 327 km.

The dimensions at a glance

Of the Maxus eDeliver 3 there are 3 versions, load length 218 cm to 277 cm, load volume 4,8 m³ to 6,3 m³. The full dimensions table by version, with wheelbase, exterior dimensions, width between the wheel arches and Euro pallets, is on the dimensions page.

What the eDeliver 3 is known for

  • Fully electric drive with zero local emissions, so access to low-emission zones is permitted
  • Payload of approximately 865 to over 1,000 kg, depending on length and battery pack
  • Low load sill of about 540 mm and a load floor that takes 2 (L1) or 3 (L2) Euro pallets
  • Compact exterior dimensions (4,555 mm in L1) with a turning circle suited to urban use
  • DC rapid charging to 80 per cent in about 45 minutes

What to look out for on a used example

  • Ask for a battery certificate or State of Health measurement; the battery warranty on this model runs for 8 years and is subject to a mileage limit, so check the remaining term.
  • Check the operation of the sliding door rails and the closing of the rear doors; in delivery work these parts go through many opening and closing cycles.
  • Electric vans from distribution use make short, heavy trips: assess the brakes, the tyres and the condition of the load floor and side walls.
  • Check which charging cables (mode 2 and mode 3) are included and whether the on-board charger is 6.6 kW or 11 kW; this differs by model year and version.

These points apply to the model in general. What applies to a specific vehicle depends on its maintenance history; we discuss this for every vehicle we sell.
