Auto Kipper Kopen

A tipper truck is a commercial vehicle with a hydraulically tiltable load bed, ideal for quickly unloading sand, soil, green waste or building materials without manual shovelling. At Tatev Auto you'll find an extensive stock of used tippers and open-bed vehicles, from €10.900 excl. VAT. When choosing, pay attention to payload capacity, the type of tipping mechanism and whether the chassis and cab suit your work. All vehicles are APK (MOT/TÜV) approved and delivered road-ready, and financing via financial lease is possible up to 100%.

Choosing payload capacity and tipper bed type

First determine what material you'll be transporting: sand and soil are heavy per unit of volume, while green waste takes up a lot of volume with relatively little weight. For heavy loads, choose a tipper with a high payload capacity and a sturdy, reinforced bed; for bulky, lighter material, a lower axle load with a taller build is often sufficient. Also pay attention to the tipping mechanism: a rear-tipping bed is sufficient for most construction sites, while a three-way tipper (which can also tip sideways) is useful if you need to unload in narrow locations or dump material on multiple sides. Always check the payload capacity on the registration certificate against your intended load, so you don't end up overloaded on the road.

Van chassis or heavier truck chassis

For smaller jobs in landscaping or for private individuals, a tipper on a van chassis, such as an Iveco Daily or Mercedes Sprinter, is often sufficient: manoeuvrable, drivable with a category B licence (up to 3,500 kg) and cheaper to run. For larger construction projects with heavier loads such as sand, rubble or gravel, you'll quickly need a vehicle with a higher GVW, requiring a BE combination or truck licence. If you regularly work on unpaved construction sites or on slippery access roads in winter, consider a 4x4 version for extra grip and less chance of getting stuck.

Buying or financial lease: what suits your business

If you buy the tipper outright, you own it and have no monthly obligation, but you commit the full amount immediately. Financial lease spreads the purchase over a term of up to 72 months and keeps your working capital free for materials, staff or other investments; after the final instalment, you own the vehicle. This is also possible for start-ups and self-employed professionals, with financing up to 100%, without requiring a large down payment first. If you have an old commercial vehicle, trade-in is welcome and can be offset against the new purchase or lease instalment.

What to look out for with a used tipper truck

Test the hydraulics: the bed should rise and lower smoothly and evenly, without jolts, leaks at the cylinders or delays. Check the load bed itself for cracks, repaired welds and corrosion, especially on the underside and at the hinge points, as that's where rust from intensive use strikes first. Ask for the maintenance log for both the chassis and the tipper body; the hydraulic system requires separate maintenance in addition to regular vehicle servicing. Always take a test drive with a (empty) load to feel how the vehicle steers and brakes under weight before deciding to purchase.

Frequently asked questions

Can I finance auto kipper kopen?

Yes, financial lease is available for many vehicles. We are happy to make a proposal based on price, term, down payment and any balloon payment.

Can I trade in my current commercial vehicle?

Yes, trade-ins are welcome. Send the registration number, mileage and photos for a quick indication.

Where is Tatev Auto located?

Tatev Auto is located in Mijdrecht, easy to reach from Amsterdam, Utrecht and Schiphol.

What does a used tipper truck cost?

At Tatev Auto you'll find used tippers from €10.900 excl. VAT. The final price depends on brand, year of manufacture, mileage and payload capacity; check the current stock for exact prices per vehicle.

Which driving licence do I need for a tipper truck?

For a tipper up to 3,500 kg, a category B licence is sufficient. Heavier tippers on truck chassis require a BE combination or truck licence, depending on the permitted gross weight.

What is the difference between a tipper truck and a vehicle with an open load bed?

A vehicle with an open load bed has a fixed, non-tiltable bed that you empty manually. A tipper has a hydraulically tiltable mechanism that dumps the load automatically, which is faster and less physically demanding.

Van tipper or truck tipper: what suits my work?

For smaller jobs and trips within built-up areas, a van tipper (for example an Iveco Daily or Sprinter) is more manoeuvrable and can be driven with a category B licence. For large volumes of sand, soil or rubble, a heavier truck tipper is more efficient.

Can I lease a tipper truck instead of buying it?

Yes, financial lease is possible with up to 100% financing, a term of up to 72 months, and it's also available for start-ups and self-employed professionals. After the final instalment, you own the tipper.

What should I look out for when buying a used tipper?

Check the operation of the hydraulics, inspect the load bed for cracks and corrosion, ask for the maintenance log and take a test drive with a load. At Tatev Auto, all vehicles are pre-inspected under APK (MOT/TÜV) and made road-ready.
