Afmetingen Sprinter L2H2

The dimensions of the Mercedes Sprinter L2H2 consist of a medium wheelbase (L2) combined with a raised roof (H2), providing a load volume of approximately 10 to 11 m³ and an interior height of around 1.9 metres in which most people can stand upright. This makes the L2H2 popular among couriers, installers and removal companies who need plenty of volume without driving an extra-long van. At Tatev Auto, we currently have 75 Sprinter models in stock, including the L2H2, starting from €10,900 excl. VAT and all delivered with a valid APK (MOT/TÜV) inspection and ready to drive. Not sure whether to choose the L2H2 or a different length or roof height? Dimensions and load volume of the Sprinter L2H2

The code L2H2 stands for the medium wheelbase (L2, approx. 3.7 metres) combined with the raised roof (H2). This typically results in a load compartment of 10 to 11 m³, with a load length of around 3.3 metres and a load height of approximately 1.9 metres. The exact figures vary depending on the build year: the Sprinter received a new generation in 2018 with slightly different dimensions, so when buying a used van, always check the specifications on the registration certificate or factory documentation before assuming an exact volume. Payload capacity mainly depends on the chosen chassis and engine (313, 316 or 319 CDI) and ranges from just over 900 to nearly 1,500 kilograms.

L2H2 or a different length or roof height?

Does the L2H2 actually suit your work? An L1H1 is more compact and easier to park in the city, but offers less volume and standing height. An L2H1 has the same load length as the L2H2 but a lower roof, useful if height restrictions are a factor for warehouses or parking garages. If you need more load length, the L3H2 or L4H2 may be more interesting, for example for furniture transport or large installation jobs. In practice, don't just measure volume but also the passage width between the wheel arches: this is comparable across all Sprinter variants and determines whether a Euro pallet fits crosswise.

What to check when buying a used Sprinter L2H2?

When buying a used Sprinter L2H2, always check the maintenance history and whether major services (such as the timing belt or chain) were carried out on time. Inspect the load compartment for damage to the floor and walls, and check the sliding door rails for wear, as these are used intensively. Also watch for rust around the wheel arches and under the load floor, especially on vans that have spent a lot of time outdoors. A manual Sprinter is generally cheaper to buy and maintain, while an automatic (9G-Tronic) drives more comfortably in heavy city traffic and stop-and-go conditions.

Buy or financial lease your Sprinter L2H2?

If you buy, the Sprinter L2H2 immediately becomes your property and you have no ongoing monthly payments, but it does require capital upfront. Financial Lease keeps your working capital free: you finance up to 100% of the purchase value, with a term of up to 72 months, and the van is registered in your name once the lease ends. This is also available to start-ups and self-employed entrepreneurs, making leasing attractive if you don't yet have a long business history. Do you have a current vehicle? Trade-ins are welcome and will be deducted from the purchase or lease price.
